Hamilton Island Queensland: 8 Reasons You Must Visit

7. There is so much entertainment!

There is so much to do on this brilliant island that you and your family will never be bored. Or you can just relax and do absolutely nothing.

Bliss by the pool

Just spread your striped resort towel in a prime position and relax. There are many prime spots by the bougainvillea pool, the main pool, the sailing pool, the Reef View Hotel pool, or the pool of your on-site private villa.

The large deep pool in front of the resort used to be there and you watched them play and frolic at lunch, but obviously times have changed and this is no longer appropriate.

Spoil

After relaxing by the pool, treat yourself to a real break in one of the island’s luxurious spas. Spa Wumurdaylin and Spa Qualia are highly recommended splendid experiences.

shopping

Check out some of the beautiful island boutique shops and get adorned with your favorite resort clothing brands or browse fresh home decor, island style of course.

Bushwalking

There are some decent walks around Hamilton Island for all fitness levels that will take you to gorgeous vantage points and secluded beaches. Make sure to pack some water and tell someone where you are going.

Cruises

Enjoy a cruise to the surrounding islands and explore the natural beauty they have to offer. Visit Whitehaven Beach, Hill Inlet and Whitsunday Peak. Take a trip to Heart Reef or snorkel. There are a million ways to explore the magical Whitsunday Islands and the Great Barrier Reef from Hamilton Island.
